POSITION TITLE: Federal Programs Manager
FLSA: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Chief Financial Officer
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month employment with benefits as specified in the Classified Agreement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Accounting, Business Administration, or closely related field.
- Three years of experience in grants management or related experience preferred.
General Responsibilities:
- The Federal Programs Manager manages all Title I, I(a), II, III, IV funds and plans including required documentation in both public and nonpublic schools within the JC Schools boundaries as well as other federal grants as assigned.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Submit ESEA Consolidated plans and budgets to DESE, including upload of non-public school and Prenger Family Center consultation forms
- Submit Title I School Improvement (a) plan and budget to DESE
- Assist Title I schools with Parent and Family Engagement activities
- Approve nonpublic school activities
- Coordinate with other departments/schools to verify and update staffing changes directly impacting federally funded personnel
- Prepare and help to execute payroll Semi-annual Certifications
- Prepare PO’s, code credit card receipts and invoices for payment by the business office
- Monitor and reconcile with SISfin all Title spending for both public and nonpublic schools
- Assist the business office with any purchasing or coding errors involving Federal funds
- Assist the CFO with all ePEGS payment requests and Final Expenditure Reports
- Organize and help execute consultation meetings for both public and nonpublic schools
- Manage nonpublic registration and verification yearly
- Inventory all Title purchases for nonpublic schools
- Execute all documentation for DESE’s Tiered Monitoring system
- Manage required documentation for the Prenger Center regarding services for neglected and delinquent students
